Sounds delicious. Amrut make some great whisky. I would heartily recommend opening and enjoying!

So far I haven't been able to resist the temptation of opening a whisky bottle more than 3 days from buying, so I'll probably fail miserably with this one as well :p I just wondered what a collector would do with a bottle like this

I would recommend getting a bottle of Fusion and either Portonova or Intermediate Sherry and trying that before opening the "rare" one. Get an idea of the style first.

Thats a pretty good idea. Or maybe the standard peaty version to try if I even like peaty Amrut in the first place.

Amrut is making very great malt and, right now, there is not a big after-market for malts except from Scotland. So, I would suggest to drink it. I've had a Peated and Fusion and both were very good. I have a Two Continents and it is also a great malt.

Although I'm lured by the difference in taste compared to Scotch and/or Bopurbon, I never had any Amrut before. When I was looking for the regular peated Amrut I found one bottle Amrut 100 at some webshop for the very nice price of €76,- Drink it or sell it in about 10 years?
