I found it pretty good, another bourbon I liked that is cheap and easy to get is elijah craig 12. If your looking at trying some basic bourbons it'd be good to give both a go.

Yeah maltster, I checked some threads and I think I'll go for some 8+y or 12y old bottles. I think at a younger age a whisk(e)y will always have a certain metallic-glue note... therefore age always plays a role in a certain extent. Thanks!

hi folks! next my single malt experiences I am also very interested in trying some Bourbons, 'cause my whisk(e)y experiences back then started from there. I had a few ones (classic grocery stuff) but always had this particular young oakiness and glue feeling in my nose and mouth. So I was wondering if the Buffalo Trace has a more balanced shape in the nose without this typical chemical touch? I saw the bottle for 21 Euros here, seems a reasonable price. I am mainly looking after a fair priced daily well worth Bourbon to drink, so any suggestions which bottle should be considered are very welcome! have a nice day!
