The boys of The Nectar shared this Fino Sherry cask with La Maison du Whisky, the famous French retailer.

This is a very soft nose with hardly any peat at all. I get brown toast, plastered with farm butter, covered with banana slices with some brown sugar on top. Adding some water does not hurt this nose at all.

It is very soft and silky, lightly spiced and wonderfully (almost too) sweet. Banana once more, but also wine gums and even some white chocolate. Does not need water at all, but what the heck. It makes it even sweeter (did not think it possible), but also a lot sharper.

The finish is more of the same, but wonderfully long and leaves your mouth very dry.

If I had tasted this blind, I would have mistaken it for a fruity Speysider. Quite the active cask that bent the spirit to its will. Great stuff! Around 180 EUR.
