As Lacan said to French '68ers,' You are looking for a Master and you will find one." ECBP as a great dram? Stagg Jr..? Come on...

@Jonathan
Personal attacks won't be tolerated – let's keep Connosr for discussion and enjoyment of whisky. This discussion is queued for deletion.

My anger at being excluded for a relatively small mistake came from came from a genuine place.I wasn't randomly picking a fight, but I very much understand your concern and won't let that anger still over into Whisky Conn again.

i proudly made my excuse: 1)I was broke and supporting my wife when the bottle in question was drunkThat night happened to to be Trump's election,, which I have no doubt that our mutual friend was quite happy about. 2) Trump's election made her immigration status tenuous even though we were married! 3)The trader in question made it clear that he didn't give a hoot.I was going to to get him an equivalent bottle. 4) That wasn't fair play,

@MadSingleMalt I’m also curious...but will gladly accept “mind your business” if it’s something personal...

@Jonathan Let the past be the past. If you don't get alone with someone, talk to someone else and have fun. And please, talk about whisky.

@MadSingleMalt short version: I drank a bottle I was supposed to trade after it sat for nearly two years on my shelf with no actual trade in sight. That night happened to be the US election.Make what you will of that. The other trader entirely understood. The facilitator of the trade---not so much. It's about a bottle of rye , and I could have easily bought a replacement (and would have).I'lll respect Pierre and not say more about it.

OK.
This feels like a Russian short story where both the beginning and the end have been left out. :)

For whisky I don't think this forum is for whisky connoisseurs. It's for Canadians, especially those whose who want to meet or make trades with Amis. (BTW, American whisky isn't all that. Compare the reviews here to anywhere else.) There's also a Guru thing going on. Won't go into detail, but two wives (one ex-) have been put to sleep by the spiell. Anyone bring a spouse to the recent Epic Tasting?
