Two places that are great for whisky in Chicago are Twisted Spoke and Duke of Perth. Go to Twisted Spoke on "Whisky Wednesday" and it is half off any of their whiskys , which last time I was there was over 500 different type . Duke of Perth has a ton of single malts.

Also-Go to Duke of Perth for a more laid back atmosphere , Twisted Spoke can get a little crazy.

L+E does have tons of bourbon, but it's a bit of a "scene." Kinda pricey too.
Delilah's has a couple hundred scotches and makes there own blends every year, but has a rock-a-billy, punk rock, PBR vibe.

@WHSKYLVR Another great bourbon bar is a place called Big Star , it is a taco joint with a great bourbon selection. They have private barrels and great specials, food is good. I had a old weller 107 and four roses single barrel -both private barrel and they were both great. It is a hipster place , but my 42 year old self did not feel out if place when I met a friend for lunch. If you are in the lincoln park neighborhood check it out.

@Cardinal Haha, yeah it's easy to feel out of place in Bucktown these days! I remember Big Star when it was the Pontiac...
Also check out Fountainhead! Those guys have an awesome selection for those closer to lincoln square. I think it's on Irving Park at Western.
