This golden oldie is in fact a Highland Malt! But little info can be found about this release, apart from the fact that it was Italian import and the producers call themselves the Crazy Scotch International Company and had their HQ in Glasgow. I admit to being a bit curious.

The nose is light, fruity and malty. Think apples and green banana, a hint of zespri and lots of sweet barley. Hint of bubblegum as well, but nothing wrong with that at this point.

The body is just a tad oily. On the palate, it is candy-like sweet with a truckload of vanilla, apples return, honey kicks in and it sports a good helping of pepper. Pretty alcoholic though. And just a tiny bit of OBE, but that is easily forgiven.

The finish is medium long (longer than expected) on liquorice and honey.

A typical blenders’ malt, but not bad for such an old geezer.
