I've been growing my collection of Four Roses Private Selection. The FR concept of two mashbills paired with different yeast strains is unique in bourbon and allows for a tasting experience that cannot be matched by other distilleries. Here are the specifics on the bottle: 10yr 2 month, Selected by Nasa Liquor in Houston Mashbill: 20% rye, 75% corn, 5% barley Yeast: herbal essence, Mint, fruity, full body

Review Nose: Tropical fruit, peaches and mango. Definitely the fruitiest nose I've had with a bourbon. Taste: Thin mint girl scout cookies. I've begun to notice chocolate as a persistent flavor in four roses. Finish: Menthol and spicy. The herbal notes come into play here adding pepper and wood notes. Balance: Uneven, but the layering and stark differences between nose, taste, and finish add an interesting level of complexity. Water or ice helps to consolidate flavors and smooth rough edges.
