This GlenDronach from the ‘wood finish'-range got aced on Sauternes, a sweet French dessert wine. It was released in August 2010. I previously tasted a Tullibardine and BenRiach on Sauternes, which were quite to my liking. Hopefully this GlenDronach is equally enchanting.

Oh, the nose surely is. The wine has clearly put it’s stamp on this whisky. It’s very fruity with melon, grapes and apples on cinnamon. I like this!

It’s very creamy on the palate and offers vanilla, candied apricots, banana and even some kiwi. Very, very sweet, but in a positive way.

The finish is creamy and lingering with a bitter death from the oak.

Another whisky on Sauternes that I really like. But really!
