From a sample size-
Nose: Oh, this is something special. It's got that high-sherry nearly extracted quality liqueur angle to it. Coffee, drops of cocoa, red fruit, tobacco, the perfect small pinch of a few grains of salt (that brings out the best in everything else). Really immaculate. I never want to not nose this. (with water) I'm not sure that the water actually made a difference. Perhaps the red fruit and tobacco are a little more prominent, but who cares? This is incredible.
Palate: Everything on the nose, and more. Ginger/chili briefly, and then it turns a bit more to the so perfect mix of coffee and high grade cuban pipe tobacco. A touch of heat and wood, but it's actually perfect this way. (with water) Fruit disperses a bit, and the palate goes through its transition more quickly. More on the tobacco with coffee (both weak old diner and the middle of a pour of Turkish coffee).
Finish: Really top notch. Perhaps one could fault it for being a bit linear, but this thing has depth and it's gorgeous. More heavily on the tobacco, wood, and coffee, but nothing's out of step. I'd like this pour to keep on going. A and on the verge of A+.

Sounds like this one has none of the "rubber" flavor that some people taste in the younger ones. I have a 15 year sherry revival and I'm crossing my fingers that it won't be one of the bottlings with that problem
