Highball

So with those of us being in the Southern Hemisphere having spring upon us and summer approaching, I was looking to see what people's recommendation's are for a whisky to use in their highball?

Generally I haven't bothered in the past, when its too hot, I switch to G&T and sip the whisky straight when its cooled down late at night, but with all the articles on highballs recently and also the Japanese roll with the thing, I'm looking to it as another way to enjoy whisky :)
