Not yet, but it should be around soon - Dave Broom and Dom Roskrow were tasting it on Twitter a couple of weeks back which suggests they started the marketing drive.

@Mikerocosmos Don't get too enthousiastic... It is going to cost you GBP 160!!!... if you get one. Only 3,300 fans will be "lucky". All others (who may have collected the first 2 of the series) will be very disappointed. Hundreds of collections will be incomplete! So much for another modern "edition" of greed...

Dear Mikerocosmos, I hope it is not my criticism that hurts you... Should you be hurt by the HP policy, so am I. I informed HP of my disappointment and HP reacted that this Haakon is very special because it is 18 years old (..) and the first two editions were only 12 years old...! Yes, you are right....Ouch!

@Ardbeggar Oh no, the ouch was directed at Highland Park. Its really a shame they decided to limit the amount and make it so inaccessible (not to mention the price).

And they call this Magnus series a "affordable collectible".

We reviewed this last month... basically a cask strength 18yo, but bloody nice.

Launched yesterday afternoon on HP website. Still available this morning (21st).

Yes, still available I guess, mine will remain there for ever... or something like that. I'll have myself a fine Springbank 18 yo, 1st edition 2009, not even half the price.

Sorry- looked at the HP www site at 11.30am - sold out. That's a pretty impressive sales rate -probably only available now at specialist stores

I have the other 2 bottlings , tried to get the third today no joy all sold out. Very pricey, still sold out good marketing . Does anybody want to buy my other 2 .Wont be able to buy the third one at e bay prices .

Highland Park wrote this one FB this morning:

Due to the demand for Earl Haakon, we did experience some technical problems yesterday which we would like to wholeheartedly apologise for. The small number of bottles allocated to the online shop and distillery are now sold out. The remaining bottles will be available over the coming weeks via specialist whisky retailers.

I am looking to get hold of a bottle of Highland Park Earl Haakon, SHAGGY266 had soem is this still the case, if not does anyone else have a bottle? I hope I hear form someone!!!

It was sold out online about half an hour after putting it online. The technical problem they mentioned on FB was, that the counter didn't work proberly and therfore people ordered bottels when it already was sold out. Unfortunately I was one of them.

I've been informed, that the bottels should hit the shelfs of appointed retailes in the second week of August.
