@DaveM That's pretty close to what it is here after the exchange rate. But I have to admit I wasn't at all enthused when I tasted it as part of the Last Great Malts of Scotland theatrical tasting...

So the LCBO website and app have been down for a few days...and I’ve been checking it frequently. Now that it’s back up, it showed 6 OWA 107 in stock...and of course when I tried to order some, it was “sold out”. So how were there 83 available online when all online ordering was halted, and now it’s sold out seconds after the app is up and running? Fuck the LCBO!

Also, the “new” and improved app is even less reliable and less user-friendly than the last one. Good job fucking everything up, all the time, LCBO! Congratulations, you’re the absolute fucking worst!

What do you do when a product isn’t selling and you’ve got tons of stock that’s not moving? Reduce the price ? Not if you’re the top-knots at the LCBO! Nope, you call the regular price a “sale” price and you raise the so-called regular price by $8! Good job, you fucking idiots! I wasn’t interested in this watery offering any way, but this is idiocy to the umpteenth degree.

(Apologies for the language, but it’s Monday and I’m really not in the mood for this nonsense)

@OdysseusUnbound It's like when Loblaws used to say SALE - 2 FOR $8! when the regular price for one was $4. I think they stopped after they were widely shamed on social media for it.

I'm torn, should I be posting on this thread or Steal of a Deal? Today I spotted Woodford Reserve 375 ml on the shelf at my local LCBO for $24.95, the 750 ml bottle sells for $53.95. I was tempted to pickup a 375 ml bottle because I don't currently have an open bottle of Woodford Reserve. I passed and picked up a bottle of Chilean Carmenere instead.

The new normal, for those in Ontario Canada: Blanton's Gold Edition and E.H. Taylor Small Batch are available on LCBO lottery. So if your a hoarder, drinker or bottle flipper, deadline is 6pm April 27, 2019. Best of luck to those entering this lottery.

In case anyone is interested: there’s some (rapidly dwindling) stock of OWA 107 available online for $36. The price in the latest issue of Vintages magazine is $49.99, so the price IS going up. With 4 bottles in the bunker (assuming I actually receive the two I just ordered), I think I’ll be good for awhile. And if I’m being totally honest, I’ll probably pay $49.99 if I run out.

If we are hypothetically successful, there will be 568 bottles available exclusively at Summerhill, and 6 other bottles randomly dispersed throughout the province like Infinity Stones. Good luck.

The 6 other bottles will likely go to Perth, South River, Capreol, Iroquois Falls, Goderich, and Sioux Lookout.
