How quick should I consume a bottle once open

Hi, was wondering if there were any detremental effects to taking a few years to finish a bottle. I have bought a Glenfiddich 30 year old 2010 release for my 30th Birthday, the idea was to have one dram from this bottle each year on my birthday. Was just wondering if the whisky would 'spoil' with me taking maybe as much as 20 years to finish it. Would it simply be better if I drank it over a lot less time when it is in it's 'prime'? Thanks for any suggestions.

Two or three years should be fine but I reckon 20 might be pushing it :)

Thanks for the info and post link, i'm now thinking of making the 30yo last a few years tops, with my 30th birth year where i consume most of it then! Thanks again.
