My international wish list includes: Glenfarclas 15 103 Proof, Benromach 10 100 Proof, Ileach, and a whole mess of indie bottlings of very obscure and dear whiskies, not to mention the hard to obtain Japanese lovelies such as a reasonably priced Karuizawa (which I guess these days is a pipe dream). I guess many human beings tend to want what they cannot have. Such is the plight of life in modern capitalistic societies, which are built upon haves, have nots, supply, demand, scarcity, monopolies, contrived scarcity, interest, unfair high tax rates for the middle classes, ridiculously low tax rates for the ultra rich, black budgets, corruption, debt, planned obsolescence, collusion, graft, etc. And, of course, we wouldn't have it any other way. . . that is, so long as we believe in the existence of "free" markets, pursue the quest for great whisky, and continue to indulge quite a few valid reasons to drink even more great whisky.

Jack Layton invited Ed Broadbent to drink Scotch at Stornoway. Sadly he took I'll and died before this could happen. No one ever mistook Broadbent for a capitalist...

About once a year, I get an offer from The Whisky Exchange for discounted (40% off, 50% off) shipping costs to the United States. Still no bargain, but enough to get me to pull the trigger on a couple of occasions. Have not gotten such an offer from TWE yet in 2015.

What is your favorite website to get scotch whisky and world whiskies into the US without paying a fortune in shipping and taxes?
(I'm talking about legal websites, of course, that ship to states in the US where mail order of alcohol is legal.)
