I have absolutely no idea what Feith A' Chaorainn means, but according to Google it stands for 'the land around the rowan'. That does not help me much. So let me simply get started on this Isle of Jura 1976.

The nose immediately takes me to a furniture maker’s workshop. Freshly sawed wooden planks galore. Underneath a very sweet not of citrus fruit and vanilla, honey, maple syrup and walnuts. Ginger and some liquorice and a very nice smoky and green edge. Wonderful.

Creamy on the palate, but quickly very salty and smoke. Freshly cut grass. Green olives on salty juice, mustard seeds, liquorice. Becomes drier while it remains in the mouth. The maple syrup hardly gets a chance to manifest itself. More salty than sweet, but it works like a charm.

The long finish remains smoky with salt and some spices at the death, mustard seed in the lead. The mouth is left dry as parchment.

Incredibly good Jura, but unfortunately the price tag is equally incredible. Around 700 EUR.
