Nose is Treacle-toffee and quite nutty. Some spice and a bit of vanilla and caramel. Not far off those 'hazelnut in caramel' Quality Street chocolates. Softens and mellows in the glass

Initially the palate is dominated by toffee and caramel. Then milk chocolate. Nuttiness reappears later on. Soft, gentle flavours, and a bit sweeter than the nose. It becomes even mellower as it opens up, almost to being like liquid milk chocolate.

Finish is sweet but quite short. A little disappointing given the dreamy mellowness that went before.

This does have some really nice well-married flavours and is amongst the most gentle whiskies I've tried. Pity about the finish but otherwise I can recommend it as a pleasant and relaxing dram.
