I didn't have particularly high expectations for this. I picked it up in a supermarket in France for €37, thinking I couldn't go much wrong though, and it's actually a pretty decent dram. There is a good bit of sherry influence in this, but it's not at all overpowering. Think Glenfiddich 18 cross with Dalwhinnie 15, and this is pretty much what you end up with, which in my book amounts to a decent, rich and slightly honeyed malt at a very good price. If you're in France, pick up a bottle from the Super U. I think that Knockando is pretty popular in Europe, and it would be one of my frequent mellow sippers if i could pick it up for this price too.
