This is a cask strength edition of the Longrow 14 year old which has also spend its last 3 years in burgundy red wine casks.

this wine maturation has worked beautifully, long enough to change the profile of the whisky but not to long for the wine to dominate.

Colour: Really red/brown

  • Nose: sweat peat (not like islay peat), caramels, light phenol, rich and acidic

  • Pallet: dense, fresh peat, sea air, plenty of spice, sweet caramel good spices as well.

  • Finish: very light, smoky, clean, more spice and burnt wood

  • Mark: 8.3/10

Fell away a little in the finish but overall a very good dram that is not to be missed
