In general, if they're going to have such a large stock (awesome!), I would suggest a "Whiskies of the World" segment where good quality, representative whiskies from countries other than Scotland and the US are given some prominence.
Ireland and Japan could have a page to themselves potentially. Canada could have a 1/2 page without too much trouble (one specific suggestion for a true Canadian rye whisky would be Lot 40 from Corby Distillers). Other countries (i.e. Sweden with Mackmyra, Australia with Sullivan's Cove, Wales with Penderyn, etc.) could each also have one or two selections.
Good luck!

So a new whisky establishment is opening soon in Portland, Oregon. It allegedly will have over 1,500 bottles of booze with the majority being scotch and bourbon.
Do you have any suggestions for the management as to what type of whisky you would like to sip if you walked into "The Library" in a few months when it opens?
Judging by the founders, there will be some really amazing whiskies there. I'm hoping to find a bottle of Edradour Caledonia (12). As many of you know, it was made by one of Scotland's smallest distilleries.
Others I would like to try: Just about any Brora or Port Ellen that I can get my hands on; Tomintoul 16; Longmorn 15; Clynelish 17 Manager's Dram (or a lesser known Clynelish other than the standard 14) with characteristics similar to Brora; and, of course, the new Ardbog.
