For any member with a copy of Jim Murray's 2004 Whiskey Bible, in general, what was his opinion and rating on Dalwhinnie 15yo ? Upon returning from a trip to Ireland in late 2003, I purchased a couple of bottles of Dalwhinnie in the duty free shop in Shannon airport. I put them away, and have only recently rediscovered them. Realize that his opinion is just one of many and that the only one that counts is my own, but I would like to know, so that I can compare my tasting (and by far less imaginative palete) with JM. My thanks.

94 points - "Know anyone who reckons they don't like whisky? Give them a glass of this - that's them cured"

If you like them then I'd recommend buying a new one and doing a comparison - it'd be interesting to hear how the make-up has changed over the last decade.

I second that, I would be very interested in a head-to-head comparison!

Jim's tasting notes haven't changed since the 2004 edition... :)
