Apparently, the new Arran distillery at Lagg is making progress fast. The production here is going to focus more on peated whisky similar to the Machrie Moor.
As my personal favorite brand of scotch, I'm hoping Arran is not chasing volume and profits. Business is business, but I love Arran whisky and would hate to see anything detract from the quality I have seen from them in their short history thus far. Hopefully being an independent distillery will keep them focused on whisky and not shareholders.
