@Pudge72 - I had the Dragon's Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout on Tuesday night...it is fantastic...probably one of the best stouts I've tried...even better than Nickel Brook's Old Kentucky Bastard (another bourbon barrel stout).

@YakLord...I've 'discovered' the Dragon's Milk on tap at a brewpub in Port Huron, MI last year, and was thrilled to see it in bottles in Ontario!! One is waiting for me in my home fridge.
Nickel Brook Kentucky Bastard is awesome! Very happy to see that one also hit wide distribution in Ontario. Buffalo Trace barrels, iirc.

@Pudge72 But it was this, that you were really talking about, correct: lcbo.com/lcbo/product/… I haven't tried it, and there doesn't seem to be any available in my area...I'm curious to know whether New Holland Spirits and New Holland Brewing are sister companies...(I suspect they are: newhollandbrew.com/our-spirits/), and whether they use their own barrels to age the Dragon's Milk...which, after reading the website, it appears they do, and then they use the Dragon's Milk Stout barrels for the finishing of the beer barrel bourbon...interesting...

@YakLord...that's the one...hopefully, someone in the US that is on this site has had a chance to try this one and can give some feedback. Based simply on the Dragon's Milk Stout, the bourbon has at least a fighting chance to be good! The adventurer in me may purchase this one...
New Holland does seem to be set up along the lines of Anchor Brewing/Distillery in San Francisco.

@Pudge72 I actually managed to pick up the last barrel in Eastern Ontario when I was in Kingston for the Kingston Whisky Festival. It's not bad, although my experience with bourbon is limited, so I don't have much to compare it to. It certainly isn't as hot as some of the others I've tried, but given that it is only 40% ABV, that's to be expected.

For those (especially in North America, since I don't know if this bottle has gone abroad) who have sampled this one in the past, I would appreciate your feedback. This one has appeared in Ontario recently, and it at least has me intrigued. I love (so far) the beer that I have been able to try from New Holland Brewery.
Thanks in advance!
