Nikka Tsuru Whiskey

A quick google search shows this is still a product of the Nikka line.

Does it have value? What kind of value? Did it come from someone special? Does it have a story behind it?

If not, don't open it.... yet. Get a recent bottle and do a head to head, with friends. The difference in some blends can be stunning.

I tried JW red H2H with a bottle from the 70s or 80s and was shocked by the difference. I have 2 JW Swings separated by a similar number of years to compare.

The older and the rarer, they may have monetary value, and you can probably visits some auction sites and database pages to see, but the ability to taste history...priceless.

It will be interesting to have a head to head challenge with a more recent bottling.
