@plattvillepeat, at $ 2,500 suggested list price for the O.F.C. the Fire is in the wallet of the purchaser. Buying this is purchasing collectability. These are conversation pieces. Something more to display than to drink. Worth it to somebody? Sure it is. Worth it to 99.9% of people? No. But you only need one buyer per bottle. No doubt many of those $ 2.5 K purchasers are hoping for a 'greater fool' who will pay more yet. The other buyers probably just feel good having the bottle around, and don't care about the money spent.

The Buffalo Trace Distillery built in 1870 was originally the Old Fire Copper distillery aka O.F.C. Buffalo Trace is apparently marketing super premium vintage bourbon from this distillery as O.F.C. The bottle has those initials in copper along with the full name Old Fashioned Copper. Where’s the Fire?
