So this is the whiskey made by Old Forester as a tie-in for the second ‘Kingsman’ film. Im a big fan of OF and the first film so bought this the minute it came out.

Hard to know the age, but colour is dark and its straight bourbon, so no additives.

Nose is lovely. Stem ginger, musty grain and corn, sweet brown sugar and caramel, crystalized demerra sugar, dried apricot. Sweet but with a really rounded refined dried stone fruit and crstalized brown sugar nose. Clean vanilla and fruity perfume. Moderately aged wood.

Taste doesn’t quite live up to the nose. Little wood astringent, dried apricot, raisins, brown sugar. Caramels are not really there, fruit and wood is forward. Finish is little oak, fruit, oak tannins.
