The girls and boys of BYOB-C, or 'biopsy' or Bring Your Own Bottle Club, have released special twins under the name Anarchy of the Lads. One bottle contains a 10-year-old Royal Brackla on sherry, the other a 12-year-old Glentauchers on sherry. And the labels together form a beautiful whole. Amusing. We'll start with the youngest of the two.

Oh, this is a real candy on the nose! Superman logos, cherry candy, strawberry lollies and a handful of sultanas. Very friendly nose.

Creamy body and excellent strength. Soft herbs (cloves, cinnamon) now precede dark-sweet fruit. Think raisins, figs and dates. Turkish delight. Soaked in quite a bit of honey.

The finish is even sweeter if possible. Think candy sugar sprinkled with wood spices.

A liquid dessert that does not disappoint. The influence of the sherry is not over the top, so the DNA of Royal Brackla remains nicely intact. Traditionally, I was able to add bottle 71 of the 71 to my collection. Hurrah!
