I don't know if it's worth it, but it's $255 in Ontario, so you're getting a relative deal.

Here's a couple of not so great reviews from people on Master of Malts website where it sales for 97 GBP. I don't have any personal knowledge of these reviewers, but they would make me think before ordering.
dr dew - Tastes like peat moss and Mr Log - Over priced for what it is - nothing special

Here's the official tasting notes from Whyte and Mackay…
Colour - Light honey, straw gold with shimmering highlights.
Nose - Soft, elegant & refined. Delicate aromas of crushed apple, pear and fresh pineapple arouse the senses. The spirit is exciting and vibrant with attractive notes of oak shavings that release hints of buttery vanilla, creamy caramel and nutmeg. A whisper of marmalade, cinnamon and even a tease of smoke, ginger and muscovado sugar completes this spectrum of delight.
Taste - With a generous strength of 47.3% this gives the spirit plenty of impact on the palate but in a mild warming manner. Harmonious and exhilarating. Whispers of gentle bonfire smoke slowly give way to spicy rich toffee, treacle and pecan nuts. These enticing flavours linger lovingly on the palate but are soon combined by a sensual, complex array of creme brulee, orange rind and freshly baked bread. It is a remarkable tapestry of tantalising taste sensations which truly rewards the palate.

@BlueNote Hi Blue, I myself own a bottle of it and have reviewed it on here. It's an enjoyable whisky and I'd love to have another bottle or two, just not for $200 bucks. There are alot of other good whiskies out there for much cheaper price wise. It's one of those bottles that if I was much better off and had purchased everything that had struck my fancy then I'd buy another bottle of it. But in my honest opinion you're paying more for the packaging and advertising then for the actual whisky inside.

Thanks for the input guys. Sounds like the price is more to do with its novelty value than its quality but the reviews are good so I might spring for one out of curiosity. But then again, I could get almost three Talisker 10s for that kind of money, or an HP 12, a Talisker 10 and a Glenfiddich 15, or a Uigeadail and a JW Green, or.... @cpstecroix, I thought we were getting dinged pretty good for taxes and markup here in BC, but you guys are really getting bent over the barrel in Ontario.

Hi malt friends. There suddenly seems to be quite a lot of the McKinleys Shackleton Replica available here in Vancouver. It's listed at $195 Can. (about 120 pounds sterling). I would be buying it to drink, not as an investment. I just want to know your opinions on whether or not it is actually of a quality to merit that sort of price tag.
