Now, joking aside... A Brexit may indeed have implications as US and Scottish products come under new trade regimes. I withhold my comments on the (in)sanity of Brexit and the scurrying to maintain the good fundaments of EU legislation and int'l agreements...
Could be good for us living in the UK but not our international friends if the global market becomes less competitive and the UK consequently sees "saturation" with associated impact on supply / demand and prices...

@RikS - It's all very whisky business . . . (I'll get me coat!)
I guess as long as transparency is maintained (and even improved, possibly?) it doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Chlorinated chicken on the other hand . . .

The Sunday Times (thetimes.co.uk/edition/…)
A report by the Department for International Trade assessing the Brexit impact on tariffs between Britain and EU trading partners reveals that alcoholic beverages produced in Britain will be severely disadvantaged as internal market rules are abolished and taxation revert to pre-1973 rules of volume instead of alcohol by volume.
In a series of parliamentary answers, the trade minister, Greg Hands, has revealed that initial discussions between Whitehall and whisky producers have been successful, and that the minimum alcohol content in exported whisky will be set at 57% from the first of January 2019.
