Suntory Suntory Red

This is meant to be drank mizuwari. Don't delude yourself for one moment and think that 180ml for ¥300 is anything but a mixer.

Nose: sacharine

Taste: caramel, grain

Finish: Short with the same taste profile. No complexity.

I'm not going to run this down, it's sold for such a low price that it’s made for mixing, and if you are expecting Yamazaki 18 years for the entry fee, then you my friend, are rather deluded. If you are so inclined you can pick it up in 1920ml bottles and have yourself a real party.

On ice it becomes sweet and develops a malt aspect. Apparently there is some malt in here. If so it is long buried on the seabed and drowning in the Pacific Ocean that is this dram.
