The last release in the Small Batch Collaboration that I will try, again a sample through Benny, is a Teeling that matured on a Pineapple Rum Cask from Plantation. By the way, the rum was very pleasant. So I am expecting a very sweet whiskey, just like the release from 2018.

Yes, as was to be expected this nose is dominated by pineapple, followed by coconut, banana, apples, raisins, cherries and pears, also a surprising amount of earthy notes I have to say. After some breathing some candied sugar emerges. This is very pleasant.

Syrupy on the palate. Nice! Pineapple juice on steroids, with banana, apples, cherries... lovely continuation of the nose, upholstered with cinnamon and cloves. Do I also get a hint of coriander? Anyway, I find this very good, even though it is hard to taste the whiskey in here.

In the medium finish I get the feeling that I have just swallowed a white rum, while I am chewing on a slice of pineapple.

Tasting this blind, whiskey will not be the first thing on your mind, but that does not take away the fact that this is a lovely dessert. That was 50 EUR well spent.
