Nose: moderate intensity lovely fruity rye flavours like a well-oxidised bottle of Bulleit 95 Rye. There is slight rye spice, and subtle wood flavours. This is a very nice rye nose

Taste: adequate but incomplete translation of the beautiful nose flavours. Not as bright as the nose. Some apple and pear flavours show themselves

Finish: this is a long finish that settles on bass notes from the wood. The rye grain flavours exit fairly early. Apple and pear flavours also remain

Balance: the promise of the nose is unfulfilled. This is adequate but finishes on dull wood tones and does not beckon for more
