Came across this small bottle single cask whisky in Edinburgh. It's a Bunnahabhain (Islay), distilled in 2001, bottled in 2010, and that makes it "over 9 years". On the nose, this whisky is very spicy, with lots of chocolate and spicy leather, some vanilla as well. Second nosing is almost a sort of creamy vanilla scent, vanilla pod icecream. This vanilla develops further on first tasting. The taste is very spicy, with sweet hints of dark chocolate and develops in more spice, some hints of smoke. The body is full and creamy. Finish is full of chocolate and spice, loads of sherry influence here. Not very long though. Unfortunately, little smoke, contrary to what I had expected.
