I confess, until recently I had never heard of this. And even now I don't manage to find much more information about it, but apparently this Noble Fleming was compiled and bottled in 2002 by PrĂ ban na Linne (who we still know from MacNaMaRa and Poit Dubh) especially for... the Flemish Parliament. Seriously? It was one of the drams during an unsurpassed rural whisky quiz.
I find the nose very closed, but relatively alcoholic. Some white fruit, some cereals and a hint of smoke in the background, but I'm not sure yet whether that's peat or woodsmoke, it's that soft.
Oops, the body is feather-light. Let's say watery. And in addition to the white fruit, I now also get notes of plasticine, rubber and green garden herbs. Yup, that's peat. But this is not great. The flavors seem to clash rather than work together. A bit like... the Flemish Parliament?
Fortunately, the finish is graciously short.
A little something to forget quickly. I hope that in the meantime they have some better stuff on the shelf in the restaurant of the Flemish Parliament.
