It's not quite summer, but this is the first Friday in a long time that the sun's been out and there's a nice warmth in the air. I've just finished work and I'm going to pick a nice light fruity dram to ease me into the weekend...

A chilled Glenmorangie Orig with a couple drops of lemon. @markjedi1, recently got in both those Auchens ... will anticipate opening now ! Also anxious to see what @LeFrog picks up :-) Good post @Jean-Luc.

Just tried Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or .... lovely, no negatives. Then tried it chilled in freezer (no ice) ... no smell, nice cool frosted glass, lucious flavor develops as it warms up on the way down ... and sooo very smooth.

Besides the Toshan's, I also feel many softer, Irish drams are very good while enjoying a little sun in the back yard. How about Kilbeggan 15 or Bushmills 12 YO Rum Casks. Magnificent, trust me!

On the offchance anyone's still interested in answers to this question, we had a "Summer Whisky" session back in August at Whisky Squad:
Some interesting selections in there, and not just the parade of Lowlanders you'd expect.

I've read a few reviews in the last month mentioning "great winter drams" but what in that case is the perfect summer whisky?
