Hi @joaofcosta, thanks for joining Connosr. I've never come across James Martin's whisky before, it seems to be a discontinued brand but I found these two bottles listed under James Martin Brand via UK retailer, Master of Malt.
A quart bottle of Martin's V.V.O. blended Scotch whisky, produced prior to 1964. We believe that this bottle was destined for the American market. The label claims that it is made with "All Extra Quality" whisky, which sounds lovely. A sadly long-forgotten brand that had a wonderful sense of style.

Hopefully someone can help you with information on the 20 and 30 year old blends.

Hi there,
Portuguese guy here, from Lisbon. I've just recently entered the mysterious world of peat, but I have been drinking Scotch around 15 years, and I have a question that is troubling my mind: what is it with James Martin's 20 or 30 YO blend whisky? I remember 20 years ago having this whisky in house and, as a general rule, portuguese people still consider it a reference, but I don't think I ever tasted it (at least on appropriate glasses and/or age). In one of the reference stores in Portugal, the 30 YO version is currently sold at 1.200€! gncellar.com/james-martin-s-30-anos.html/ Does anyone have a clue if it it any good, or is just a really expensive whisky? And why can't I find anything about this whisky outside Portugal?
Regards, João
