@Rantavahti In a YouTube review of Octomore 10, Whiskybitch suggested that their almost out of 10 year old stock. youtu.be/oRWmb-VNsMI It's at about 0:55m
Don't know if it's true. Laddie Ten is still available in Holland.

It's listed as in limited supply in Ontario, but there are over 400 bottles. If you're planning a trip here in the next couple of years and would like someone to put away a bottle or 2 for you I'm sure it could be arranged.

@Rantavahti Go into the site again and deselect "core range" in thw whiskies section and select "all". You will find the two you are looking for at: www.bruichladdich.com/the-whisky/all-whisky I had the same problem. Doesn't help me in Manitoba though as our local monopoly has discontinued the 10 for some unknown reason Jonesz

@Jonesz Thanks! Very well hidden by Bruichladdich :). Fortunately so, Laddie Ten is one of my ultimate favorites. I actually feel stupid now...

Laddie 10 is now out of the core range, as mentioned above, and they're pushing the NAS whiskies as standards instead. The 10 is still going out to stores, although it's on strict allocation and noone's getting much.

Thanks for all your input. I Got an answer via Twitter by ?@Bruichladdich also: "Nope - its not. Sadly we are very short of it though..."
I really hope that they don't completely run out of it

The Laddie Ten is still available in Australia. Having said that, I do notice that they supply is not as plentiful as before.
Maybe the new owners are planning to phase out the Laddie series which would support your observation.

I heard thei're having have a problem with the mashtun as well interrupting the production till march or so. Prices will go up again :(

@PeatyZealot
One would think mash tun issues should not affect the Laddie 10 price until past 2020.......

There have been a lot of bad rumours about Bruichladdich lately But the Mash tun problem has been confirmed by the distillery: bruichladdich.com/news/laddie-news/… but I don't believe that there were any updates on further delays

@Pandemonium Finally... I didnt understand why they would hold it as a secret?!

Well that stinks...Just discovered the 10 yr, and Rocks not more than a few months ago...Glad I recently purchased a few bottles at a discounted price before this all took place.

This mash tun business is dreadful news to me -- Bruichladdich is one of my favourite distilleries. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

You've asked questions and luckily the whiskycast is there to answer your questions: whiskycast.com/bruichladdich-pulls-core-ran… The core Bruichladdie range is being pulled, the Black Art, Octomore and Port Charlotte ranges are not affected. The old laddie 10 that we so dearly love will still be available through the distillery shop (bruichladdich.com/the-whisky/whisky-shop/) although they even claim it's sold out for the moment. These are sad times my friends

@Pandemonium, hey, I have NEVER regretted putting aside a couple of extra bottles of what I like for just this reason. That includes The Laddie Ten. Carpe diem, lads.

@Pandemonium Sad times indeed, thanks for your info. And lucky (but wise) you @Victor! I have to start buying Laddie Ten immediately

All this foreboding talk of supplies running out for the Laddie Ten has psyched me into getting another bottle.
While it is a flavoursome malt, what intrigues me most is that this malt possesses a unique profile for an Islay malt. That and the fact that this is a malt has been entirely produced while under the stewardship of Jim McEwan, both a testament to his craft and a promise of great things to come from a distillery that is unfettered by "large conglomerate objectives".
With the sale of the distillery to Remy Cointreau sadly we may never see the true vision for this distillery in its unadulterated form.
This bottle is destined to join its sibling: the Bruichladdich Celtic Nations in my "collection of curios".

Mash tun has been repaired, they will restart their production tomorrow. As for the stock issue, they are currently building new warehouses at the main distillery, they have warehouses in Port Charlotte and will build seven additional large warehouses nearby in the years to come. Production will be increased to 5 days a week. Normally they should not run into a major shortage of 10 year old spirit

Listened to this whiskycast, . We’ll chat with CEO Simon Coughlin, Production Director Jim McEwan, and Commercial Director Douglas Taylor according to them laddie ten will only be sold directly from the distillery, I am very unhappy with this decision but it does make sense. whiskycast.com/episode-470-march-15-2014/

Thanks to all for the information on this situation. The local store still has four bottles. Looks like I better stock up while I can.

@Nozinan Well, over here it went up by almost ten euros in four months

Try the nonchillfiltered Aberlour 12. If you like the Laddie Ten you won't be disappointed.

I was looking some info on few Bruichladdich products sold online and was amazed to see that Laddie Ten wasn't in Bruichladdich's whisky range anymore! What's the story on this, has it been removed from their range? Couldn't find Sixteen either...
Here's the whisky range info on their website www.bruichladdich.com/the-whisky
Has the Laddie Ten disappeared or been renamed or what? Please tell me that they still produce it. Just purely brilliant whisky by the artisans of Bruichladdich...
