This is also the same place that had (actually, has) a shelf full of Laphroaig 10 CS on sale for $58. Crazy.
@Nozinan , thanks for the prod. I've been seeing a ton of great deal lately that are probably worth a nod over on that threat.

@MadSingleMalt Another "threat" on Connosr? OK typos are permitted.
You make me very envious to hear of the Laphroaig 10 CS just sitting there for < $60. If I were there I'd buy them all. Or want to.

Today, I picked up a bottle of Glenlivet Nadurra 16yo.
Why did I buy it? The reason is because it is becoming more scarce, and it happens to be one of my favorite whiskies.
The store I used to get the 16yo Nadurra at stopped carrying it. I walked into a relatively smaller liquor store about a month ago and I was quite surprised to see it there. I didn't get it then, so I made up for it this time-round. I am sure I will grab a couple more bottles of it, because I don't think they haven't sold any since I was there a month ago. I didn't want to inquire about their availability because I didn't want to raise their awareness of the 16yo Nadurra being low in stock, in fear of them raising their prices. It was already marked a bit higher than what I had paid before, but it was still at a reasonable ( well I think reasonable) 80.00 USD, including tax.
Batch Number (for those who want to know) is: 0613X, ABV 54.5%

@ajjarrett That is an older batch, I'm surprised it is still around. I just bought 0814D at 55.7% when I was in Oregon recently for US$85. The store also had some bottles at 60.2% but I did not take note of the batch number and regret not grabbing one. I agree that this is one of Glenlivet's very best offerings.
Cheers.

There was a stocktake sale going on.

Springbank 10 and a Coal Ila from the creative whisky company. What is a man without spirituality?

Springbank 15 ... because I didn't have it in my cabinet.
Was very close to pulling the trigger on the 18 as well but didn't. I'd like to shop around for a better price first.

I have sampled this before in the past and can say that the level of peat is quite mild. The profile is fresh and bright with vanilla and fruit to the fore. The smokiness comes later and lingers through the finish. Overall, I think it's quite a worthy drink on its own merit.

@NamBeist I'm a man without spirituality. What does that make me?
Just picked up a bottle of Lot 40 Rye. Why?

Are you really a man without spirituality? Is there nothing in this world in which you find joy or meaning? A sobering thought indeed.
I've been off all spirits for 2 weeks. Health reasons. Killer cold that took away all desire or ability to taste. And yet I remain spiritually fulfilled, and not just because I'm looking forward to trying @paddockjudge's Dissertation warming exercise tonight or maybe tomorrow...

@Nozinan Yes I have a Dutch autocorrection. What do you think what I wished to @OdysseusUnbound?

@Nozinan I guess it depends how you define spirituality. Fulfilment, joy, connection etc. I get all of these, I guess I just don't call it spirituality. Perhaps a discussion for another time. Maybe over some rum brought from Nova Scotia.

@OdysseusUnbound I think you have the right idea in separating spirituality from religion.
