What's your favorite whisky cocktail recipe?

For hot & humid summers, I make a Hakuto peach smash.

In a cocktail shaker, I add 1/2 hakuto (snow blaze) peach, 1 mint sprig, thin lemon slice, splash of simple syrup, 50ml of Eagle Rare 10 and ice. Shake, strain and serve over rocks, in rocks glass and add hakuto slice and mint leaf as garnish.

As a rye lover, my go-to is Wild Turkey 101 Rye, Diet Dr. Pepper, lots of ice, and, very importantly, a large slice of sweet orange muddled into the mix.

@Victor, Sounds amazing! I love rye and Dr. Pepper. Gotta try it out. Now if I can only find a recipe using Dr Pepper Cherry Vanilla...lol

@drinix, The Classics are wonderful as well, but I gotta find ways to get rid of all this fruit. ;)

I love manhattan's with a slight change to the standard recipe, i use two shots of vermouth and one shot of bourbon , with a splash of the juice from the cocktail cherries.

For a summer drink, @whiskyJoe and I scoured YouTube for whiskey sour recipies and came across one presented by a bartender at a hotel in New Orleans (the Four Seasons?) who seemed to be the most knowledgeable/professional in his presentation. Basically for two servings, its 4 oz of Maker's Mark, 2 oz of lemon juice (cut this back if using concentrated juice instead of lemons), and 1 oz of simple syrup (we made a viscous gel of sugar mixed with warm water) poured into a shaker completely filled with ice. After shaking, the mixture is strained out of the shaker into a tumbler that is filled with ice. We decided to skip on the optional egg white that can be added to the shaker mix for smoothness. Overall, very refreshing, though on the tart side a bit (go with real lemons if possible).

@Pudge72, My mouth's watering for that drink.

Btw, I enjoy your posts on whiskywhiskywhisky. There are some serious drinkers on that site.
