A local shop has a lot of older stock probably because their prices are higher than the government controlled shops. A few examples are Highland Park 18 dumpy bottle,Ardbeg10 L7,A'Bunadh lot 15. The prices are about 10 to 20% premium.

i would pay a premium to get things I couldn't find now. Early batches of A'Bunadh? Grab em! Port Ellen, Brora, if I could afford...

The Port Ellen was a no brainer and is already in my cabinet. Brora would be there also but none on the shelves.

Where is the store? I know someone in Vancouver. I would send her over to check it out for me...

Or maybe we should discuss offline

@whiskyed Holy cow! Yeah I'd definitely be jumping all over that! Or if you want I can help pay and we'll split the whiskies :D That's awesome!

@whiskyed what i the Ardbeg 10 L7 number? The word from the PLOWD is: L7 143 9:06 4ML 91 points (elegant and sophisticated) L7 221 05:57 4ML 89 points (fat and smoky) L7 295 12:12 4ML 88 points (bruiser: knock you down power - I would love it)

@Nock so may typos . . . "is" and "PLOWED" - I would buy the Ardbeg without much thought. Not the Highland Park 18yo. But then I was never impressed by it - others love it.
