@Wierdo That's a very good price. Equivalent of around $137 Can. Thanks for the tip.

@BlueNote - I use Master of Malt usually and they stock it at that price. They also do next day delivery and free standard delivery on orders over £100.

If you're staying at a hotel/guest house it may be prudent to order prior to arriving and have it ready and waiting relaxed

I'm probably telling Grandma how to suck eggs though!

@RianC I don't recall my dear old Scottish granny sucking eggs. Very helpful. All good info. Thanks.

When I barely got into Scotch and Whisk(e)y in general, I repurchased Glenfiddich 12 and Macallan 12 about 2-3 times. Later on as I got into Bourbon the most repurchased were my daily drinkers, Weller 12, Elmer T. Lee, Evan Williams SB, Elijah Craig 12. I lost my taste for Evan Williams SB after maybe the 3rd or 4th bottle. The others became damn near impossible to find or purchase at a reasonable price. I do however encounter Weller 107 regularly both the old label and new label bottlings. I've bought that bottle about 10 or more times. Why have I bought it so often? Because it's a decent pour, and at about $30usd a bottle it can't be beat in this austere bourbon climate in the states. As for Scotch, there's no particular bottling that I have stuck to but what I do purchase the most is Laphroaig. I have about 5 bottles from regular 10, CS 10, many of the Cairdeas, and almost all the travel retail bottlings.

@masterj If you want a good cheap bourbon, tastier in my opinion than Weller 107, I recommend OGD 114.

I am drawn back to Aberlour A’bunadhunadh and Old Pulteney 12yr. I am sometimes in the mood for the sherry notes and at other times for the briney notes. Neither has let me down so far.

Probably Lot No. 40. If not that, then Four Roses: Single Barrel. I'm not really sure which I've had more of.

I seem to re-buy A'bunadh an awful lot, considering I am not a massive fan. To me, it often tastes like a "hot mess" but it is frequently on special offer and I just cannot resist the £ per %abv allure of a cask strength scotch for around £30. And, I almost always convince myself that this batch will taste like one of the ones I have liked.
