Bruichladdich 1992 Fino Sherry Cask

A copper coloured dram. The aromas include some winey notes, spicy ginger and pepper and a healthy dose of vanilla. A good introduction to the main course which is delivered with pleasant medium full mouth feel. Bags of flavours to pick apart or just enjoy, dried fruit, orange, fresh apricots, almonds, vanilla while some dark rum like sweetness supports the ensemble. The tasty theme dries out a little on the finish with the pepper spice rising in place of the fruit. A very elegant whisky, and a “very tasty” one.
