This is a Signatory bottling of a 19 yr single cask Bruichladdich. This is the second best scotch I have experienced (approximately 80 including 40 or so different bottles - yes, I know that still makes me a newbie - but I a much more refined newbie than my original Aberlour 18 review!!).

There is obviously no finishing of this - and I have come to appreciate the unfinished scotches more so with this expression. The nose tells me what real scotch is supposed to smell like - absolutely delightful. This will bring a smile to your face!! The palate is still plenty sweet - with a drier, spicer, woodier (not overmuch) finish.

There are a few bottles of this floating around. I purchased another for long-term storage upon the right occasion. Cost was $110USD inc. shipping....

I believe it is worth it - see if I am wrong!

BTW - this Bruichladdich obviously offsets my disappointment of the Distiller's Cuvee expression recently reviewed. Perhaps there are times to trust a bottler!
