Nose: First that hits me is baked banana, some smoke and smells from a farm near the sea like hay, cowdung, salty sea air. Vanilla is there, but nicely hidden between the other smells. Also a sour yellow grapefruitpeelnote comes later on.

Palate: Big sweet barley, cigarsmoke, ginger, honey and a little candlewax. The sweet slowly gives way to bitter vegetal notes and green spice. There is also something peaty, beefy, and smoky and fishy going on here. Complex and brutal stuff. It also developes quite a bit over time so it's quite something to get around.

Finish: at first, not so much, but then the fresh oak returns and it gets a little vegetal creamy. It leaves that strange tingle on the side of your lips:p There is one note through the whole experience that I cant really bring back, the closest I can get is something like Indian spices. Weird, but I like it very much. Complex, powerful vegetal and some gentle smoke and peat in the background. I like it a lot better than the standard 14yo. Too bad there are only 275 bottles and I only have one 6cl sample:(
