There are loads of whisky blogs out there, but which are your favourites and why?

Please let us know which you think deserve to be named in a list of Top Whisky Blogs, either by posting your thoughts below or by emailing us.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts...

Connosr: for the wonderful reviews and community building / Whivie.be, my own (Flemish) blog / WhiskyCast, for the wonderful podcast / WhiskyNotes: for the expert reviews of less accessible bottles / Onversneden: for the witty reviews.

Favorites are this one, and my own ( www.liquorature.com ). We have a whisky and book club here in Calgary. We get together once a month over a book and three bottles of whisky (and one bottle of rum for the resident 'caner). Though we've gone through countless whiskies, we're only slowly getting reviews in, as the site is fairly new.

Come chat about books and bevvies if you like.

Greetings, Ladies and gents.

Just letting it out...I launched All Things Whisky (www.allthingswhisky.com) just days ago. Still under construction, but it is getting there. Lots more content to load. Sort of a Canadian take on things. Just a blog, not a forum like this place, but of course your comments are not only welcome, but appreciated.

Official launch in the next few days. Watch for a couple nifty interviews and features coming up.

Hope to see some of you.

Funny you mention Ralfy right now. Strange coincidence, but I just loaded the interview we did with Ralfy to ATW ( www.allthingswhisky.com ). Indeed, Ralfy is a great resource.

Thanks for the kind words, Piero.

Next interview on ATW will be Mickey Heads of Ardbeg.

There is definitely plenty of whisky blogs out there. Recently the idea of started blog of my own came into my head (and at the time there was lot of Lagavulin 16yo as well:). It’s nothing fancy, but is a start.

When you have time take a closer look here: khvonloman.blogspot.com Best, Karl

There can be only one! And that would be Connosr. For the community, for the variety of reviews.. for the mixture of experts and novises. And for the big selection (almost complete) of known distilleries. Connosr is the only whisky blog i neeed.

Again...thanks for the kind words.

Just wanted to share a couple new things with you.

1) ATW just hit 70 reviews. In an unbelievable twist (and surely a once in a lifetime opportunity) the whisky I was able to review for number 70 was none other than G&M Mortlach 70. Yep...that Mortlach. The world's oldest bottled whisky. (Review: www.allthingswhisky.com)

2) One of my fortunate colleagues and oft-contributor just put together a tasting of Port Ellen 1 through 9 (the Diageo releases). He has written a fantastic piece including tasting notes for each and a complete rating and breakdown. My envy is the thing of legend. Man...to have attended this event. (Article: www.allthingswhisky.com)

3) There is a recent interview with Bruichladdich's Jim McEwan as well. Ever-interesting and absolutely easy-going. (Interview: www.allthingswhisky.com)

4) For a little more on Bruichladdich's colorful crew, hang tight...Mark Reynier is next up. His interviews and candid chats are always brilliant.

To all visitors...thanks again for your support.

Whilst not strictly 100% always about whisky, Billy's Booze Blog (bbblog.org.uk) has great whisky coverage and he's certainly got a way with words.

Bourbonenthusiast.com is a very good source for user reviews of bourbons and some ryes. It has a lot of information on American whiskeys. The community participation is not as active as is that at connosr.com, though.

I follow quite a number of blogs/forums/news sites. Hard to say one is better than another -- each offers its own take on whisky (and more). In no particular order here's where I go with the morning's coffee in hand:

What Does John Know? (John)

WhiskyIntelligence.com (Lawrence)

WhiskyFun.com (Serge)

The Scotch Blog (Kevin)

whisky-pages (Gavin)

WhiskyNotes (Ruben)

whisky whisky whisky forum (Mark)

The Whisky Wire (Steve)

whisky-news.com (Patrick)

And, here, of course, Jean-Luc!

Along with the ones already mentioned I also read Whisky For Everyone (whiskyforeveryone.blogspot.com) - lots of reviews of things old and new.

@thewhiskyguy's blog is also good, when he gets round to writing it - www.thewhiskyguy.co.uk/whiskyguyblog/

My blog is, of course, best, but despite it mainly being about whisky I try to make about 1/2 of it about other boozes. I generally fail - bbblog.org.uk

@jasonbstanding Mr Standing you are too lovely.

Aside from Connosr, I really like Ralfy.com, WhiskyNotes.be, AllThingsWhisky, SourMashManifesto.com for bourbon/rye, K&L Wines Spirits Journal and MaltManiacs, but I find that one sort of hard to use.
