Druma Mor is a Belgian bottler. Last year they released this 11 year old Fettercairn. It’s a distillery that doesn’t appear on my scope often, to be honest. However, I was quite impressed with this malt when I took part in an online tasting in October 2020. That was reason enough for me to chase down some more samples of Fettercairn.

Soft malt, caramel, butterscotch and walnuts: that the nose in a nutshell. Something floral, some almond shavings and young banana. To be honest, I’m not really impressed. Darn.

On the palate I get mostly white fruit, almonds and soft sugars. A bit of pepper and liquorice, but again not very outspoken and even a tad immature in my opinion.

The finish is medium long, softly drying but remains relatively sweet.

There is nothing wrong with it, quite flawless in fact, but at the same time somewhat uninteresting in my book. Available for some 75 EUR.
