The newest releases from The Whisky Mercenary are bottled in the so-called Draconological Series. WTF is that? LOL. The labels show a nice cartoon of a dragon. Anyway, Jürgen has good taste, that’s for sure.

Wonderfully fresh and creamy nose with nice candy-like notes joined by banana and peach, while buttercups appear in the background. Vanilla and pastry. Very summery (and indeed very similar to our cask).

Pretty creamy on the palate as well. Mouth coating on peach and wine-gums, with a lovely pinch of white pepper which gives it some punch. It never bites, though, so there is no need for water. Banana is now joined by gooseberries and some mint. A bit floral. Very summery.

The finish is long, mildly drying on vanilla and candy floss with a lovely bitter touch at the death.

Summer in your glass! Unknown does not necessarily need to be unloved.
