Nose: compared to the 18yo it is sweeter, some nice mushroom earth like notes, sweet nougat and caramel, nice notes of leather, some good notes of stewed fruit, sweet thick honey and then some smooth peat

Palate: Juicy and punchy, nice notes of honey and cooked vinilla, a slight peppery note and some grassiness, the peat is very smooth and long, Gets very silky into the finish.

Finish: very smooth and silk like, quite sweet, some stewed fruits and a lot of thick sweet fresh honey, some dry notes of oak, notes of coca and almond paste, hints of peat and smoke.

While I would say the Highland Park 18 is more balanced then the 25, I slightly prefer the 25 because of its more punchy nature. Both a great whiskys from my favourite Scotland range.
