An interesting light (blend) that is rather a sound idea. Unfortunately, the very northern H/P. does not and shouldn't be expected to 'show' well at 10 years; the combination is skewed toward the Bomore which was not the idea at all. A H/P at 12 or 14 years would have I suspect given a more harmonious whole - nevertheless, it is not without charm, notwithstanding the internal struggles. I'm reminded of George Saintsbury, in his Notes on a CELLAR BOOK, where he describes the best Whisky he ever had in his celler as a small cask of equal parts of Clyne Lish (his spelling) and Glenlivet.

Considering picking up a bottle although your review scared me a little.

Went on to see that a certain "Serge" of whisky fame gave this 86 points. Highlights the very personal nature of whisky scoring I guess!

I agree it is an interesting idea though. Might provide a chance for me to "forgive" Bowmore a little since our unfortunate first encounter with the poorly named "Legend" bottling.
