The nose is light and refreshing - it has a citrus edge that keeps it zesty despite the main body of oil, salt and mild earthy peat. Really interesting smell.

The taste is heavier than the nose. It still contains the citrus notes, but the earthy notes are stronger with more hints of salt, wood and smoke. The peatiness isn't as strong in the taste as the nose - still there but very subtle.

The peat notes come back in the finish which then lingers, along with some saltiness and a hint of sweetness, for a decent length of time. It sours slightly towards the end, but it doesn't get unpleasant.

A mate of mine bought this, and decided he couldn't stand it, so he gave it to me. It's a fine dram - interestingly refreshing despite being very savoury and earth. Not great, but worth having on the shelf.
