Jameson is still Ireland's best-selling whiskey. In 2020, they joined forces with the Eight Degrees Brewing Company that provided them with some stout barrels, on which this whiskey got a finish. No less than 10,000 bottles of this whiskey were filled, although cut to the absolute minimum.

The stout is unmistakable on the nose, even a little dominant. But that doesn't bother at all. Dark chocolate, vanilla, peach and dried apricot. This nose is excellent.

The body is nice and creamy and sweet with a mild spiciness. Sweet malt, chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. Well, this certainly is very nice.

The finish is medium-long, warm, spicy and darkly sweet. This makes you long for the next sip.

I am very impressed with this Irish. Thanks, Benny.

Nice to know: at Eight Degrees Brewing they also matured a stout on Jameson barrels. It's a matter of completing the circle nicely.
